Osborne High School CTI Career Club News

On February 1st the CTI career club will begin their Annual Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) fundraising event. Donations will be accepted during all lunches in the cafeteria and the school store before and after school. Donations can be as little as 50cents to whatever amount an individual wishes to contribute. Donors will have their names displayed on the club bulletin board. The fundraising campaign will run for the entire month of February.

The CTI Career Club students and other CTSOs, as well as, the Transition Academy of Osborne High School are working hand in hand. They are setting the example of how a team effort can make a difference in the lives of so many.

Donations to the Haitian relief drive are also being collected. A percentage of Breeze Freeze sales for the Month of March will go toward the school’s joint CTSO club efforts to support this cause.

Seniors Nominaated for SHOA Senior Scholarships

Lesley and Diana are two of Osborne HS students nominated for the CHOA Senior scholarships this year. Diana attended this Fall’s CTI Leadership Conference and participated in the Academic Quiz bowl. Leslie volunteered to work as an ambassador for this year’s Looking Toward the Future Conference in Marietta. Both young ladies are expected to participate in this year’s Spring Leadership Conference in Macon. They have displayed a tremendous effort this year, participating in various activities and fundraising with CTSO clubs, including the Career club, FEA, FFA and FBLA. They are also gaining work based learning skills in the Bridges “School to Work” Program.
