| School News | Dougherty Comprehensive High SchoolStudents win in competitive events
Tracy Canty and Freda Venisee have two students who have been members of CTI (Career & Technical Instruction) for the past four years, both winning first place in competitive events, attending, participating in training/leadership sessions in conferences each year on the state level. They have helped make Dougherty Comprehensive High School shine for CTI locally. We are proud of Montavious Davis and Kityah Nelson as well as the other students who will be publicized across our state and nation for their achievements in this article. Thanks to all who played a part in the success of these students.
CTI PARTICIPATES IN DCSS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
The Dougherty County School System is participating in the PINK OUT fight against breast cancer. The Career & Technical Instruction (CTI) students and coordinators also came together to support the effort at Dougherty Comprehensive High School. The remembrance runs deep at DCHS where we lost two of our well-loved educators in July 2011 to cancer. We wanted to show our love for Ms. S. Y. Battle and Ms. Vonetta Randle. Because they were huge supporters of the fight, we miss them dearly. Our principal pictured far right, Mr. Jose' Roquemore, wore his pink in support of the initiative to fight against cancer all over the world. Mrs. Tracy Canty and Mrs. Freda Venisee, CTI coordinators.
