Henry County High SchoolHenry County CTI Coordinators Plan for A New Year
Philip Starke, Locust Grove High School, Regina Akery, Luella High School, Gail Womack-Jordan, Eagles Landing High School, Ella Thompson, Union Grove High School and Ann Popwell of Stockbridge High met at Locust Grove High School for a presentation by Janie Worton, Georgia High School/High Tech Coordinator. Georgia High School/High Tech is a comprehensive community-based program that provides youth with disabilities a link to academic and career-development experiences that enable them to successfully meet the workforce demands of the 21st century. The purpose of the program is to encourage students to complete high school using five Guideposts To Success-School Preparation, Career Preparation and Work Based Learning Experiences, Youth Development and Leadership, Connecting Activities that help young people to connect to services as they transition to the next phase of their life, and Family involvement and support to ensure knowledge of post-school options in the community.
