Georgia CTI Board of Directors Hosts Annual Training on Jekyll Island
Welcomes New Members and Charts a Vision for the Year Ahead

Jekyll Island, GA — June 5, 2025 — Georgia Career and Technical Instruction (CTI) held its annual Board of Directors Training from June 2–4, 2025, on the scenic and family-friendly Jekyll Island. This annual gathering brings together leaders from across the state to plan, reflect, and set goals for the upcoming year—and this year was no exception.
We were thrilled to welcome six new Board Members, each bringing fresh perspectives, enthusiasm, and innovative ideas to help continue the growth and success of Georgia CTI. The retreat included in-depth discussions on budgets and finances, a detailed review of the Georgia CTI Constitution, planning for upcoming conferences and events, evaluation of current structures, and the continued development of the GROW (Getting Ready for Opportunities for Work) and our in-school Pre-ETS programs.
The 2025–2026 CTI theme, "Challenge The Impossible", was introduced and embraced as a guiding focus for the year—chosen to inspire students, educators, and supporters across the state.
Board members also enjoyed valuable opportunities for fellowship. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Jekyll Island, members and their families connected over shared meals, laughter, and beachside conversations. These moments helped strengthen the relationships that will support the team’s work in the months ahead.
Georgia CTI is proud to welcome our 2025–2026 Board Members:
- Sarah Bauer, Region 1 Director-Elect
- Lexi Cole, Region 5 Director-Elect
- Jill Jones, Region 2 Director-Elect
- Martha Jones, Region 4 Director-Elect
- Lisa L. Williams, Ed.S, Region 6 Director-Elect
