Georgia CTI’s G.R.O.W. Program Empowers Students with Pre-ETS Skills Across the State

Georgia CTI’s G.R.O.W. Program

This summer, Georgia CTI’s G.R.O.W. program—Getting Ready for Opportunities for Work—served over 1,300 students in 85 programs across the state of Georgia, helping them build critical Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) skills through a series of engaging camps. With a focus on self-advocacy, work readiness training, job exploration, work-based learning, and counseling/postsecondary involvement, the program gave students the tools they needed to prepare for future careers and education.

Hosted in communities statewide, G.R.O.W. camps combined interactive workshops, hands-on projects, and career-focused field trips. Students worked alongside Georgia CTI Advisers, assistants, and educators, developing teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while exploring real-world career pathways. Industry professionals and local business leaders shared their expertise, offering valuable insight into workplace expectations and opportunities.

The success of G.R.O.W. would not have been possible without the dedication of Georgia CTI Advisers, the inspiring guest speakers, the businesses that opened their doors, and the strong partnership and support of the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA). Together, they created an environment where students could grow in confidence, sharpen their skills, and envision exciting futures.
